The servo-driven press offers programmable slide motion, allowing precise control over forming speed and pressure throughout each stroke. Compared with conventional mechanical presses, this technology reduces springback in deep-drawn components by up to 30% and extends tool life through optimized contact velocity. It is particularly effective for high-strength steel (HSS) and advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) applications common in automotive Tier 1 supply chains.
"This addition means we can take on deeper draw ratios-up to 2.2:1 for stainless steel shells-while holding ±0.05 mm tolerance on critical dimensions," said the production director. "It also shortens our prototype-to-production lead time to as little as 15 working days for qualified tooling."
